I am using this here as a quick example of the process of iterating on your procedural animation project. To start with, decide what the best approach to take would be. Then try a quick prototype. The RBD instanced objects looks promising.
The overall motion looks fine and color can be applied but it needs more work.
The next step is to see how well it scales up. In this case the forces that looked quite lively were adjusted but now the motion is dull. This can be addressed by adding some variation to the fan force that is being used.
Next was to increase it further by adding color to the mix and adjusting. To get a final product, more time would need to be invested in finessing the motion and color, rendering rather than flipbooking and creating a final piece. That is the purpose of Project 3.
