Attribute Transfer

Created in Houdini 19.5.303 LC and rendered in Mantra. The inspiration for "Tail Chasing" and "Fill in the Blanks" were from the following instagram posts. I wanted to create my take on the first two and the last is a color palette from nature (of an Allen's Hummingbird - Instagram post by hawk_force).

To complete these I used a variety of nodes including the new spiral node in Houdini 19.5 (not necessary but very convenient!) and the follow path constraint.
The attribute transfer node is very versatile (see particle disintegration) and its "history" is obtained by using a solver. This is a common technique. I have attached a sample file that I use as reference showing how to maintain the history of the transfer solverExample.hipnc.
As noted in the sample file above, this technique has been demo-ed by Matt Estella, Peter Quint (and others) as well as the Houdni 12 SideFX footprint tutorial (check out the "free" geometry back then).
