Inspired by Japanese mathematics professor Kokichi Sugihara, I decided to defy gravity in Houdini.

This project was inspired by the youtube video and I thought it
might be fun to try in the virtual world. As it turns out,
Professor Sugihara's design won awards and was featured in
scientific american. You can find plans to build this out of stiff
paper. I found this out after I modeled my Houdini version - I
built one out of paper but definitely needed stiffer
