Blade Introduction - THIS IS AN OLDER VERSION

Currently at the Studio in SCAD-SAV, we are using a passive optical system with 12 Vicon MX series cameras: MX4 (4 mega pixel) with Vicon Blade 2.6. Our volume has increased with the new version installed Dec 2013 (by about one foot all around) since it has less difficulty with occluded markers.

Note that we now have a new wand and are getting much better calibration errors (previously we were reaching over .35). Values around .20 or under are now expected. Recalibrate if your overall error exceeds .20. (See Camera Calibration for more details).

Once you have the basic capturing achieved, you can also try finger capture. Finger capture is much easier now in Vicon Blade 2.6.

Note that you can clean data in Blade, Motion Builder and Maya - select the technique you prefer. You are highly encouraged to use Blade for cleaning up and fixing minor errors (re-targeting is better done in motion builder).

Streaming now works with Motion Builder 2014 and has been fulled tested.
